Per the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, institutions offering distance education (eLearning/online classes) are required to have processes to establish that the student who registered for a distance education course or program is the same student who participates and completes a course or program and obtains the academic credit.

As a Midstate College student, you acknowledge that when you log-in and enter an eLearning course, you are the student registered for the course. In addition, you acknowledge that you are the individual who is completing all applicable coursework, including but not limited to: exams, quizzes, forums, assignments, etc.

Further, you acknowledge that should Midstate College, or representatives thereof, determine that the individual who is registered for the course is not the individual completing and submitting coursework or participating in course requirements, you will be subject to the College Academic Honesty policy. Failure to comply with the Academic Honesty policy may result in suspension from the College (Midstate College Student Handbook).
